Campus is an advanced training program divided in workshops, debates, masterclasses, residencies and film production, where filmmakers with proven experience work with teams of students. The program is designed for Portuguese film students and complements the university degrees. The Campus is associated with several schools of Porto, with cooperation agreements.
In the next months Campus will produce three documentaries about the social realities of the North of Portugal involving three directors: Sandro Aguilar, Manuel Mozos and Lois Patiño. On the other hand, the artistic residencies will involve artists, musicians and filmmakers who work on the border between cinema and the other arts.
Campus is a program that comes from the Estaleiro project - developed between 2011 and 2012 - which resulted in many award-winning films directed by filmmakers like João Pedro Rodrigues and João Rui Guerra da Mata, João Canijo, Gonçalo Tocha and Graça Castanheira.
Supported by the QREN/ Programa Novo Norte, Campus is a program developed by Curtas Metragens, CRL, who organizes, for nearly two decades, the Curtas Vila do Conde - International Film Festival, one of the most remarkable events of the Portuguese cultural scene.
